The Origins of Halloween

Typical Halloween activities include include trick-or-treating attending costume parties, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films. The word "Halloween" comes from the word All-Hallows-Eve wich mean All-Saints-Day, becuase it was the one day where spirit scould walk on Earth and communicate with the living. Halloween is celbrated on October 31st while All-Saints-Day is celbrated on the following day, November 1st. UNICEF stands for United Nations Children's Fund. Halloween is related to UNICEF beacuse UNICEF has a fund rasing program called trick-or-treat, this program has raise over $188 million dollars (US). Three Halloween related attractions are Fright Night, which is a night full of scary events such as the deaad, wizards and much much more. Ghost Ride at Stanley Park in another famous attraction, it is a ride on a train through the forest where no one knows whats awaiting for them. Another Halloween arttaction is Potters which is a haunted house with creepy dead things waiting in it to scare you. BOO!
